Year 6 Tuition

In year six we focus on your child's 11+ success. As well as covering key topics of the 11+ syllabus, we will concentrate on exam technique, time management, revision skills and will provide practise papers to familiarise your child with the exam structure. We will review their work, helping them to understand the strategies for answering questions and marking methods.

ENGLISH / VERBAL REASONING

By this stage your child will have the confidence to analyse literature and write short stories which, are the key components of the 11+ exams.

We will help them to improve their writing style and structure by creating word and phrase banks, essay plans and writing timed essays.

MATHS

At this stage your child will be familiar with all key topics which are covered in the 11+ syllabus. We will provide them with extensive practice exam questions which will help to consolidate the topics covered as well as prepare them for the questions they should expect in their 11+ exams. We will also look to focus on your child's weaker areas and produce practice question banks which can be taken home for further revision.

VERBAL REASONING / NON VERBAL REASONING

We will enhance your child's ability to think logically and solve exam questions related to verbal and non verbal reasoning. We will also aim to familiarise your child with all possible subject material by providing extensive practice in exam questions.
